Out of the ashes: Stunning pictures show green shoots of Fraser’s fightback

Photographing the charred wilds of Fraser Island-K’gari is far from a glamorous job, but Peter Meyer’s bush bashing has produced some stunning images of regeneration only two months after a ferocious fire burned through half the island.
The pictures, which show green shoots bursting through the burnt and battered landscape, were far from easy to capture.
“There’s a lot of hard work,” Meyer said.
