Queensland government announces suite of measures to crack down on youth crime

Queensland courts are set to be given more powers to keep youth criminals behind bars, while parents will be held more accountable for the actions of their children.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced seven measures aimed to crack down on young offenders after a number of shocking alleged murders in the state.
Most relate to the granting of bail for alleged offenders, with the presumption of bail to be reversed for those facing charges for serious indictable offences.
