Queensland police charge man with murder over fatal Townsville crash as youth crime taskforce announced

Murder charges have been laid over the death of motorcyclist Jennifer Board in Townsville in north Queensland last week.

- Jennifer Board’s unit was broken into after she died
Police allege a 25-year-old man from Bushland Beach was driving a Holden Statesman in Townsville when it struck and killed Ms Board just before 10:00pm on Friday.
Police said he had been in pursuit of a stolen car.
The man was charged with one count of murder and will appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
