Two men in a remote Northern Territory community have been charged with aggravated assault, with one also being charged with attempted murder, following an attack on a woman on Saturday morning.
Northern Territory Police allege the pair, aged 23 and 29, attacked the 33-year-old woman, who suffered serious head injuries.
The 29-year-old has been charged with attempted murder.
The two men are alleged to have entered the woman’s home at about 2:20am.
A neighbour tried to help the woman, before being knocked unconscious.
NT Police arrested the two men after a search throughout the community, which has not been named.
They will appear in Darwin Local Court tomorrow.
