The Weeknd splashed millions of his own cash to ensure his half-time show lived up to the infamous JLo and Shakira Super Bowl spectacle of last year, and it could only manage mixed reviews.
The 30-year-old Blinding Lights singer, who goes by the real name of Abel Tesfaye, is reported to have spent nine million dollars of his own money on the show.
The performance was supposed to go for 24 minutes – a stark increase on the regular 13 minute display – but it was significantly shorter than expected.
