Detectives charge man with child stealing after amber alert for toddler

Police have charged a man with child stealing after an amber alert was issued for toddler allegedly abducted from a home in Brisbane’s south-west at the weekend.
It will be alleged the 31-year-old Salisbury man, who is known to the family, entered their Darra home at 4.10am on Sunday and took the 20-month-old boy as the family slept.
The boy was eventually found unharmed at home in Orange Grove Road, Salisbury about 10.50am after investigations from Inala child investigation branch police.
Detectives had been working to identify a man allegedly seen on camera taking the boy.
