No coronavirus deaths recorded by NHS in Teesside hospitals for two weeks – Teesside Live

It has now been two weeks since a coronavirus patient died on Teesside.
New NHS figures show that 15 more people have died after testing positive for Covid-19.
None of the deaths were recorded at hospitals on Teesside.
This means the death toll has now remained at 394 for 14 days in a row.
254 people lost their lives while under the care of South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs James Cook University Hospital  in Middlesbrough.
140 people also died under the care of North Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton.

The total number of deaths in hospitals in England has climbed to 29,066.
The 15 patients, who have recently lost their lives, were aged between 72 and 96.
One patient, aged 96, had no known underlying health conditions.
Their families have been informed.
One of the deaths was recorded in the North East & Yorkshire.
3,207 people on Teesside have now tested positive for Covid-19.
The current totals for local authorities areas are:
Middlesbrough – 954
Stockton – 964
Redcar and Cleveland – 701
Hartlepool – 593
