Dragons star Cameron McInnes says it was difficult to build a relationship with new coach Anthony Griffin but claims reports of a rift were more about his connection to former mentor Paul McGregor than any clash with Griffin.
St George Illawarra announced McInnes’ defection to arch-rivals Cronulla yesterday, just hours before confirming they were hoping to sign controversial cross-code star Israel Folau.
