A popular mum-of-four from Plymouth who has been in intensive care for over a fortnight after being bitten by the family dog may have to have some – or potentially all – of her fingers amputated.
Michelle Ellis, 42, was admitted to Derriford Hospital in mid-January after suffering flu-like symptoms after the incident, which at the time wasn’t deemed to be particularly serious.
Yet Michelle ended up on life support as her organs began to shut down – made even more difficult for the family by Covid-19…
