Gold Coast beaches north of Burleigh have been closed today due to dangerous surf conditions, with swells reaching up to two metres. This followings multiple drownings on Gold Coast beaches over the past 48 hours. Surf Life Saving Queensland are asking beachgoers to follow advice and stay out of the water.
