Jennifer ‘would have been the greatest police officer’ but never got the chance

“The driver of the Statesman has then lost control of his vehicle, crossed the centre median strip and collided head-on with a motorcycle travelling in the opposite direction.”

The driver of the Holden Statesman, a 25-year-old Bushland Beach man, and his two passengers, a 41-year-old Kirwan man and a 22-year-old Aitkenvale woman, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Hundreds of people gathered at a vigil in Townsville on Saturday afternoon, with flowers laid at the crash site. Orange hearts also flooded Ms Board’s social media accounts.

One school friend, Kira Ahyick, remembered Ms Board as “the brightest, happiest, kindest soul I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing”.
