ViacomCBS has announced a period prequel series to its high-rating Kevin Costner-led cable smash hit “Yellowstone” is in the works for its soon to rebrand streaming platform Paramount+ service.
Entitled “Y: 1883,” the series is again created by Taylor Sheridan and will center on the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America.
The project is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty…
