What happened
In early January, six people linked to level 7 of the Hotel Grand Chancellor in Brisbanes CBD tested positive for a more contagious strain of the coronavirus.
Patient zero was a man who had travelled from the United Kingdom via Doha, Qatar. He infected his partner, who was quarantined with him.
A hotel cleaner, who never entered the couples room and had no direct contact with them, then tested positive. The woman had cleaned an adjoining room the day before.
