New hope amid fresh Tory tensions over how soon lockdown can end

Vaccines minister Nadhim Zahawi raised hopes today that people in the 50 to 70 age group in Britain could be offered the Covid-19 jab very quickly.
He declared that the goal of offering the vaccine to 15 million people in the four top priority groups by mid-February would be met.
He also stressed that medics could administer more than 600,000 jabs a day, the record so far.
