WA Premier Mark McGowan confirms lockdown will end at 6pm

WA Premier Mark McGowan has confirmed the lockdown will end at 6pm tonight.
It comes after the state recorded no new cases of COVID-19 in the community on the final day of a five-day lockdown.
“The only reason that could change was if local cases were recorded this afternoon,” Mr McGowan said.
Post-lockdown restrictions will continue to apply in the Perth and Peel regions until 12.01am on February 14.
The lockdown began on Sunday evening after a security guard at the Four Points Sheraton quarantine hotel tested positive to the virulent UK strain of coronavirus.
“I’m confident our transition plan out of lockdown is the right approach,” Mr McGowan said.
