As Thom Yorke of Radiohead once sang no alarms, no surprises. It worked big time. Not only did Foo Fighters become one of the most commercially successful acts in the world, but as I can attest after trawling through dozens of musicians-wanted ads a couple of years ago when trying to form a group every second prospective rock band still seems to cite them as an influence.
