Woman dead, man missing after night-time swim on the Gold Coast
A search and rescue operation was launched by police with the help of Rescue 500 to find the missing man.
The search has resumed with aerial assistance and personnel scouring the beach.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have information to contact them.
A report will be prepared for the coroner in relation to the woman.
