‘What the hell is going on?’ League great wants answers after Dragons’ Folau ‘trainwreck’ – Fox Sports
League great Mark Geyer has slammed the Dragons for their handling of the “trainwreck” Israel Folau situation and has called for someone to be held accountable.
The rugby league world was sent into a spin when it was revealed the Dragons had lobbied the NRL to consider allowing the crosscode star return to the game. This was despite ARLC chair Peter Vlandys previously stating Folau has no place in the NRL after his Rugby Australia contract was ripped up for posting homophobic comments on social media.
However, less than 48 hours later the Dragons released a brief statement withdrawing interest in the former Origin and Kangaroos star.
