The Nissan Z Proto has been caught with its bonnet up, revealing key details about the powertrain of the upcoming 2022 Nissan 400Z.
Sneaky photos show Nissan’s pre-production Z Proto with what appears to be a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 derived from the Infiniti Q60, confirming long-held rumours about the sports car’s powerplant.
While exact outputs have yet to be confirmed, it’s expected the ‘VR30DDTT’ engine in the 400Z will at least match the 298kW and 475Nm offered in the Infiniti Q60 Red Sport.
