The ex-Cowboys mentor will take over from Wayne Bennett who led the Maroons to a series win last year before stepping down from the role to focus on his final season with the Rabbitohs.
Green has agreed to a one-year deal with an option in Queensland Rugby Leagues favour for 2022, reports theCourier Mail. An official announcement from the QRL is imminent.
