Aqua park replaces paddle boats in Lakes Entrance to reinvigorate tourism economy

A coastal Victorian town will get a new 1,400-square-metre inflatable water park, replacing a paddleboat business which has been operating in the region for 38 years.

The East Gippsland Shire Council today announced a business, which has established a similar venture in Canberra, will create an aqua park at Lakes Entrance, about 320 kilometres east of Melbourne.

The community has mixed views about whether the park will be an eyesore or a economic driver for the town, desperate for a boost
