Perth Hills bushfire devastation as 59 homes lost to bushfire east of Perth
Authorities say 59 homes have been lost to a massive bushfire that continues to burn out of control east of Perth and more are expected to be razed, but there has been no loss of life and no reported injuries to members of the public.

- The fire was reported at midday yesterday and it has been fast-moving and erratic
- At least 56 homes have been lost but that number is expected to grow
- Most of the homes destroyed were on the eastern side of Toodyay Rd and in the Tilden Park estate
Six firefighters have sustained minor injuries.
DFES Commissioner Darren Klemm said teams had yet to complete their damage assessments, and the real figure was likely to be higher.
