Pies recruit banned as Covid chaos threatens last-minute fixture tweak
Collingwood is set to be without recruit Aliesha Newman for its Round 2 AFLW clash after the speedster was offered a one-game ban for a dangerous tackle.
It comes as four of the competitions teams face an uncertain short-term future, with a hard Perth lockdown has causing havoc for the AFL and potentially a fixture tweak.
Newman was the only player to be offered a suspension from the opening round of the 2021 AFLW season.
