Man in critical condition after Eumundi house fire

A man in his 60s is fighting for life after being pulled from a house engulfed in flames in Eumundi on Sunday night.
The man was airlifted by rescue helicopter to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition after sustaining upper-body burns from a house fire on Bush Tucker Court at 5.45pm on 31 January.
A Queensland Fire Emergency Service (QFES) spokesman said they had three fire rescue crews and two rural fire service crews on the scene just before 6pm.
“The initial report was that there was a house fire and a carport with a couple of vehicles alight,” the spokesman said.
“The roof of the carport had collapsed, so it was bad enough to cause that much damage.
