A 60-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital with severe burns to 80% of his body after his Eumundi home was destroyed by fire overnight.
Police say the brother of Australian tennis star Pat Rafter who
lived opposite, ran to the inferno and pulled the homeowner out.“They got him into the shower of their residence and obviously were placing water over him until the medical team could take over.” – Sergeant Ryan Hanlon.
