The former world No.13 hasnt played a competitive tennis match since February, choosing not to participate in the US or French Opens amid the pandemic.
Kyrgios will instead return to action in the Murray River Open, one of two mens lead-up tournaments to be held in Melbourne this week alongside the ATP Cup – which will include the top male players – and two womens events.
