One of golf’s most controversial figures is up to his old tricks.
Patrick Reed, the 2018 Masters champion whose career has been dogged by cheating claims, has again become embroiled in drama after claiming relief on an embedded ball at the PGA Tours Farmers Insurance Open.
Leading by four shots on the 10th hole in the third round, Reid pulled a fairway bunker shot to the left of the green, with the ball hitting the rough and bouncing around a foot in the air before settling in the grass.
