After looking after her mother for six months in England, Ann is one of the thousands of Australians trying to return home.

For the best part of a year, overseas travel has been off limits for Australians.
The COVID-19 pandemic has limited international travel to those with only the most important reasons including for those who need to care for an ageing relative.
Which is why Ann Dixon-Short left for the UK last July.
Her mother, now 100, had a fall down a set of stairs, which put her in hospital.
