The Round 1 wrinkle the AFL must consider to avoid “frustrating” situation – SEN
Dwayne Russell has spotted an interesting wrinkle ahead of Round 1 and Jaeger O’Meara has given his thoughts.
Hawthorn vice-captain Jaeger OMeara is happy with the AFLs decision to extend the length of time players must spend on the sidelines after suffering a concussion.
Players will now have to miss a game following a concussion, with 12 days the minimum time required before being cleared to play, up from six days.
I think its a good thing the AFL has brought this in, anything to protect the head is really important and some of the statistics coming out now with the CTE scans are pretty frightening, so…
