The Phoenix held out for a 90-89 win to record their first-ever victory in Perth after an inspirational half-time team talk from co-captain Mitch Creek pushed them on to victory.
Creek called his teammates idiots and airheads at the break after the gave upa 10-point lead with a series of unforced errors.
It worked immediately as the Phoenix ran off into another 10-point lead in the third quarter before dropping away again, but Creek wasnt going to let it go easily.
