A man has been slammed by the racing community after stepping on to a New Zealand racetrack and stopping in front of horses sprinting at full pace 150 metres from the post.
As you can see in the video above, the punter narrowly avoided being run over and injured, if not killed, when a number of jockeys veered around him.
The incident during race eight on Wellington Cup day at Trentham shocked racing fans, with some going out of their way to praise the jockeys.
