Qantas flights to reconnect Norfolk Island after NZ travel bubble bursts

Ten repatriation flights, operated by Qantas over four days from Sunday, will now enable people to leave the island, Norfolk Island Administrator Eric Hutchinson said in a statement on Friday.
The flights will connect the island – about 1400 kilometres off Australia’s east coast – to Sydney and Brisbane in both directions on Sunday, then on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be a single flight daily to and from Brisbane.
Anyone with existing Air New Zealand bookings were expected to be contacted by the airline and given the option to be rescheduled on the Qantas flights, to cancel their booking with a full refund, or to receive a credit with the carrier.
A hotline has been set up for those without previous flights arranged….
