NISRA Covid statistics record worst loss of life in a single day – Belfast Live

Northern Ireland has suffered its worst single day for Covid related deaths, figures released today show.
The Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency Covid bulletin states that January 17 saw the highest number of Covid-19 related deaths occurring in any one day since the start of the pandemic (34).
The Agency says that the latest weekly toll for deaths linked to the virus is 150 – the second highest weekly number since the pandemic began.
