Anthony Albanese was involved in a car accident in early January and the Opposition Leader spent the night in hospital. At the time, the seriousness of the accident was not played up.
But he has been taking some time to get over internal injuries and pondering what emergency workers at the scene told him: that if the car that hit the front of his had hit just 30 centimetres either side of where it did, he would almost certainly have been killed.
