Sections of Sydneys rail network have been thrown into chaos after a train broke down near Redfern station on Friday, causing services to be cancelled and others delayed during the morning peak.
Buses replaced trains along Sydneys T4 Eastern Suburbs line during the morning, with some services resuming by the early afternoon. Significant delays were also reported along the citys T3 and T8 Airport lines.
