Former all-rounder Simon O’Donnell has labelled Matthew Wade’s axing from the Australian side to tour South Africa as a “slap in the face.”
Wade was dropped from the Test side after a poor summer that saw him average just 21.63, the second consecutive home series where he’s averaged under 30.
But he also put his hand up to open the batting in the first two Tests when both David Warner and Will Pucovski were unavailable.
