Newcastle Knights halfback Mitchell Pearce faces a career-defining decision this season amid confirmation he will be offered a 12-month contract extension.
Pearce is off-contract at the end of the 2021 season and under plenty of pressure to perform after losing the Knights captaincy during the off-season for his role in a texting scandal involving a club staff member.
The 31-year old has a big decision to make on his future, with both the Daily Telegraphand Sydney Morning Heraldreporting he will be presented with a one-year extension from the Knights.
