A Gympie backyard has become an accidental tourist attraction for Lord of the Rings fans.

Allan McClintock began building his very own “Hobbit Shire” six months ago after COVID-19 cost him his job.

“We just thought it would be fun. We had a messy backyard here, and we thought what can we do? One night over a couple of red wines we came up with the idea of making a Hobbit-ville.”
