AMD just announced its Q4 and full-year 2020 earnings, and it’s adding billions of dollars wherever you look. It’s a new revenue record for the chipmaker.

Profits went up nearly a thousand percent
AMD is firing on all cylinders these days: its the guts of every modern PlayStation and Xbox, it has the desktop CPUs to beat, its nearly caught up to Nvidia in GPU performance (if not availability), and its about to challenge Intel in laptops as well with its Ryzen 5000 mobile CPUs and RDNA 2 GPUs due later this year.
