Umpiring trailblazer Eleni Glouftsis among 11 AFL figures awarded country’s highest honours – Fox Sports
A total of 11 figures with links to Australian Football have been given Australia Day honours this year.
This year, 844 people are set to receive the countrys highest honours after being selected by the independent body the Council for the Order of Australia.
Nominations can be made by any member of the public, with the council and ultimately governor-general David Hurley having the final say.
