Thousands expected at Brisbane Invasion Day rally

“What people have got to understand, when we’ve got ignorant prime ministers, ignorant acting prime ministers, and [Home Affairs Minister] Peter Dutton trying over the past few months to bait us into hostile reactions, this is the only way we can respond,” he said.
Fellow rally organiser Boe Spearim said the Black Lives Matter protests in Brisbane last year attracted an estimated 60,000 marchers and there was no virus transmission as a result.
“Once we exceed the limit of 100, then we’ll tell people to wear face masks, and once more people pile in, we’ll tell them to keep the masks on and keep the right distance from each other,” he said.
