Man charged over alleged child abduction in Tasmania’s north-west

A 41-year-old man has been charged over the alleged abduction of a young girl at a Tasmanian campground in the state’s north-west on Sunday.
He is expected to appear in the Burnie Magistrates Court at 11:00am today.
Police have also put out a call for any dashcam footage of a white Mazda single cab ute with Queensland registration 317XNR taken from 4:30pm onwards on Sunday.
The 41-year-old was arrested yesterday afternoon and police have thanked the public for their help.
