WA election: Liberals plan to sink rail line to free up land for new developments

The WA Liberals have unveiled a plan to redevelop City West as part of its March election pitch, in what the party has labelled a “bold” vision to “revitalise” the CBD and triple its population.
Key points:
- The plan would swell the City of Perth’s population to 90,000, the Liberals say
- No costing has been done, but the Liberals have pledged $5m for planning
