Drivers be aware, back to school this Wednesday
Police are encouraging Sunshine Coast drivers to remember that school starts back on Wednesday, January 27, and that 40km/h school zones will be in force.
School zones in Queensland operate between 7am – 9am and 2pm and 4pm, unless special circumstances have been granted by the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
The school zone speed limit is designed to ensure motorists have a greater chance to react if something unexpected happens.
