St Brendan’s College Yeppoon hit by death of teacher, student days before classes resume

Students of a Queensland school will return to classes this week while mourning the deaths of two members of the school community.

St Brendan’s College Year 11 student Rhys Yore and long-time teacher Peter Bartlett have died in unrelated circumstances in recent days.

Yore died in a car crash on Wednesday night.

“(He) will be sadly missed by friends at the college and throughout the wider community,” the Yeppoon school said in a Facebook post.
