Coolum residents urged to lock their vehicles

Coolum Police are advising residents within the Coolum Division to lock and secure their vehicles and property after a recent spate of thefts.
Officer in Charge of Coolum Police, Senior Sergeant Hardy Wirth, stressed the importance of securing vehicles.
“A current emerging trend in criminal activity within our district is occurring, where offenders are accessing underground car parks,” he said.
“Offenders are both stealing from vehicles and stealing vehicles – particularly high-end vehicles.
“The majority of these offenders have targeted underground residential car parks.”
