If the abandonment of the first half of 2021 by major features continues in the coming weeks, it could mean that Joseph Kosinski’s “Top Gun: Maverick” might be the film to welcome the public back to cinemas en masse.
A new report in The Wall Street Journal indicates that Paramount Pictures was approached by both Netflix and Apple about the possibility of buying the distribution rights for the film, and the studio turned them down.
