Police ferried to South Stradbroke Island to break up festival brawl

A fight broke out at a South Stradbroke Island music festival overnight and although security guards were present, police had to be ferried to the scene to break it up.
Police said about 350 people attended the festival, which was located at Couran Cove Resort, in the middle of the island’s western coast.

The violence was believed to have been sparked by issues while transferring revellers to and from the island on Saturday night.
Police were expected to provide more information on Sunday.
