WATCH: Kookaburra’s incredible tail transplant

The injured bird arrived at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary’s wildlife hospital earlier this month with laboured breathing and damaged feathers.
Head veterinarian, Dr Galit Tzipori, told The Sunday Mail the bird was put into a humidicrib to recuperate before the operation.“The bird was drenched when it first showed up, because the gentleman who rescued it tried to wash off the chimney remnants,” he said.
