Cricket Australia: Scott Morrison criticised by Anthony Mundine and Dan Christian over Australia Day comments – Sydney Morning Herald
Dan Christian fired back at Scott Morrison after the Prime Minister criticised Cricket Australia over a move to drop ‘Australia Day’ in BBL games next week.
I think a bit more focus on cricket and a bit less focus on politics would be my message to Cricket Australia, Morrison told radio station 4RO.
He doubled down later in the day when he said it was not a particularly flash day for the people on those vessels either in reference to the 1788 arrival, which drew immediate criticism from Labor and the Greens.
The Wiradjuri cricketer, who spent time with Morrison as a co-captain of the Prime Ministers XI in 2019, expressed his frustration online.
